Product review
Review the assignment due next week (invent a product or write a product review). Example added.
Practice: Reading product reviews.
1. Find one product on Amazon.com (see below for links) that you may be interested in buying (not clothes, food, media, or electronics). Report about the product on your blog (one sentence).
2. Read several good reviews. Why do they like it? (give 3 or 4 reasons)
3. Read two bad reviews. Why do they dislike it? (give 1-3 reasons)
Use your own words (easy to use >> user-friendly. If you copy words, you need to use quotation marks >>> " "
Example:
I was interested in buying an Action K Bike Helmet by Bell. Two customers said it had a cool, funky design, and one even joked he felt he was now "the coolest kid in town". Others said it was user friendly. However, one person said that is was way too tight (and not adjustable), and another complained that the strap got broken after only one month. I'm no longer interested in this helmet.

Starting the Unit on Product Design
Project (due Feb 2nd): Each student will review an existing product (explain & give your opinion about it) or design a product and share it with classmates.
The product might be a piece of furniture, equipment, gear, an accessory, stationary, a tool, an appliance, or a toy. It should be something that is designed and manufactured.
The description should be about 5-6 sentences and should try to use the vocabulary.
If you design a product, you should draw an image of it (on paper or using a computer program) and upload it to your blog. Describe your product's purpose, design, and how it is used. For example ideas, see KickStarter or chindogu.
If you do a product review, describe your product's purpose and background information (name, maker, etc.). Give your opinion on the design and its usefulness. Add a photo of the product. Here is an example of a product review (click customer review).
